Polymer Bitumen is engineered for enhancing the performance of bitumen used in road, runway and racetrack applications both by improving life expectancy and reducing maintenance levels.
- Using PMB, you must consider 4 issues:
Bitumen quality - polymer compatibility (the most used polymer is SBS)
- mill performance
- good agitation of the final product
Polymer Modified Bitumen is recommended for very stressed pavements, high traffic volume, high loading, high temperature, draining pavements and need for durability.
